Graphite sheet has high temperature resistance, electrical and thermal conductivity, lubricity, chemical stability, plasticity, heat resistance and shock resistance. We can see many good uses for graphite sheets as part of mobile phone design.

Thermally conductive graphite sheet, also known as graphite heat sink, is a brand-new thermal and heat dissipation material. It has a unique grain orientation, conducts heat evenly in two directions, and the laminar structure can be well adapted to any surface, shielding heat sources and components, and improving the performance of consumer electronic products. The reason why it can be designed as a graphite heat sink is to use the plasticity of graphite. We can make the graphite material into a sheet like a sticker and attach it to the circuit board inside the mobile phone. This can not only block the contact between the originals, but also play a certain seismic effect.

Because the graphite heat dissipation film has a high level of thermal conductivity, it can conduct heat quickly in a horizontal direction, so that the heat distribution on the entire surface in the horizontal direction is uniform, and local hot spots are eliminated. In this case, if the heat is high or continuous, heat is required, i.e. to increase the heat dissipation area, which can be solved by increasing the heat radiation film or a metal heat sink increases.

If the vertical heat dissipation space is limited, the effective heat dissipation area cannot be guaranteed with a metal heat sink, and the thermal conductivity may also be low. Therefore, the graphite heat dissipation film can be used for horizontal extension. When the vertical space above the heat source is limited, the graphite heat dissipation film with high thermal conductivity can be used to conduct heat to a spacious place, and then arrange heat dissipation. The graphite heat-dissipating film partly plays a role of heat insulation. On the one hand, it equalizes the heat and relieves local overheating inside the phone. At the same time, it quickly diffuses the heat before it reaches the shell, so that the user's hand will not feel too hot.

In this application, it is necessary to evaluate the amount of heat generated by the heat source, the area of the graphite heat dissipation film, and the target temperature later. Because if the heat source is too large, the overall temperature of the phone will still be affected. The increase in the area of the graphite heat dissipation film can increase its heat capacity on the one hand and control its temperature within a certain range. At the same time, it can increase the heat dissipation area and accelerate the heat dissipation. Such applications can only be used in environments where the heat source is not too large, such as handheld devices such as mobile phones and PADs. After all, the area of the heat dissipation film is still limited. If the heat is large, it will be difficult to balance with the heat of the heat source.
